Education / Formation

Sunday Morning Adult Forum suspended until phase IV

Episcopal 101 is an exploration of the Episcopal tradition, history, sacraments, scripture, spiritual practices, and ministry. This is the main preparation for those seeking adult Confirmation, being Received into the Episcopal Church from another tradition, Reaffirmation of faith, or in some cases Baptism.

(Fall large group class canceled. 1 on 1 independent study possible. Contact the office or the Vicar by phone or email)

Education for Ministry (EfM) is a four year journey of learning and exploration with friends and fellow travelers wishing to go deeper in their faith and ministry. St Aidan's has one of the best EfM groups going. Contact Robin Ringland, Deb Hubenthal, or Adele Lee for more information regarding the content, cost, or levels of commitment; and how to join.

Adult Forum is St Aidan's Sunday morning education / spiritual formation hour where classes on spirituality, ministry, and other topics supporting the spiritual life of the church happen. Zoom Adult Forums will be offered when possible. Click here to share an idea for a Zoom Adult Forum.

Tuesday Afternoon Bible Study happens every Tuesday at 3:30 in normal times. This is a small but faithful and fun group that goes book-by-book through the Bible (though not always in order!). Mrs. Louise Close led this group for years, Fr Bob Dunn shepherded this group for a time, but they are in transition again. Please let Fr Drew or the church office know if you're interested in more information about this group and when it will be starting up again.

Lenten Series is a 5-6 week midweek class during the season of Lent that typically explores an aspect of prayer, fasting, forgiveness, justice, spirituality, or some topic related to the themes and disciplines of Lent more deeply.

You are welcome at St Aidan's.

We often carry heavy burdens and the world around us can sometimes leave us feeling more anxious than loving or peaceful. Having a place to find rest, to connect with the truest and deepest parts of ourselves, and to practice Jesus' way of love gives us the strength we need for the journey God has for each of us.

No matter who you are, or where you are on the journey of faith, God welcomes you and loves you. And so does St Aidan's, Camano Island!

The Rev. Drew Foisie, Vicar
